In District Meeting we had our new District Leader Elder Smith who actually was one of Elder Noel's old companions! My old companion is now companions with his old companion haha! But he gave us an inspired training about the "Vision to Baptize". Basically the Vision to Baptize is to talk more about baptism and the blessings and make that drive you to invite people to the waters and what not. This week we put it into practice for sure because miracles happened! But for those of you at home, look back on when you were baptized and all the blessings that have come of it. Thanks to our baptismal covenant we can have the Spirit to be with us and guide us the rest of our lives. I encourage and might even EXHORT you to read over Mosiah 18 and 3 Nephi 11 which speak of baptism. I promise that you will see the blessings to be had in abundance :)
Also a little disclaimer, I don't have time to write about everyone that we teach because we're teaching a lot of people now which is the best! :D But here are some highlights :)
Monday 19th:
We had a super awesome opportunity to teach Paul, a less-active that Elder Losee and I found my first transfer by chance. Phil is a super humble guy who's had some trials going around the block. He became a member around 10 years ago but soon after he moved away and lost contact but then only a couple days after moving by to Granby, we found him! Miracle! But now he is ready to change his life and so we've been meeting with him regularly! It's awesome! :D In our lesson that first night we got to know him more and he shared with us his troubles and trials but above all his desire to change. It's been so easy to help him because he wants the gospel to work in his life so much and so I have been able to see it work majorly :)

Tuesday 20th:
We had our lesson with Joe. I just have to say that giving lessons in English is hard for me because I'm so used to the French vocabulary and I think in French. Even praying in English is hard haha! But we had a great lesson with him and he had awesome questions that just fit right into what is found in Preach My Gospel.
Later that day we made lots of pass bys and it was amazing to see the Lord place people in our path. One of these people is Charles who I'll talk about later :) But we were able to pull two lessons out of passing by Sabine, a less-active, because Samson our investigator was there so we taught her then tried to set up a rendez-vous with him which turned into just having another lesson with him right there! :D It's the best!
Wednesday 21st:
We had a lesson with Mara, that almost didn't happen actually! We were with the amazing Clarks and it was all about the Gospel of Jesus Christ: Faith, Repentance, Baptism, the Holy Ghost, and Enduring to the End. Her kids were pretty crazy but we got through it all and she had a good understanding. We then invited her to be baptized and she was all for it! She even picked the same date we had chosen for her of the 21st of February! :D So excited for her!!!
Then that night we got the blessing of being able to take a meal from Granny Addie to Phil and eat with him and have a lesson. It was so awesome! He was so grateful and we got to just surprise him! :D I loved it because he kept saying something along the lines of "boys this really warms my heart" :) I love missionary work :)
Thursday 22nd:
We had an awesome district meeting as I talked about it above on the Vision to Baptize :) It really has helped us focus on "la porte au salut" :) The doorway to salvation :)

When we got back to Granby we had dinner with the Levesques and Phil and he is so open and honest about changing his life. It is beautiful! :D He is even looking to move to get out of the bad environment he is in right now! How's that for dedication!
Afterwards, we had an awesome first lesson with a former investigator named Angie. At first our direction in the lesson was a little foggy but then we both remembered the training on the vision to baptize so we went for it and the lesson went fantastic! Hopefully we'll be helping her get a date in the coming weeks! :D
Firday 23rd:
All of our lessons pulled through on Friday which is a miracle and such a moral booster! The day just went by like clock work! We had our first lesson with Wilson, a new ami, who is a young student taking a break from school for a little. In the lesson we got to know him and he is super talented musically and artistically. I love it! The reason we first even contacted him was because he had a guitar! :D We got find out that he is searching for his place right now and that he has been pretty blessed most of his life but recently has had some trials. We introduced him to some principles and the Book of Mormon and he even said the closing prayer which was awesome! After that I got to play guitar with him a little which was super fun! He said to us too that he had never talked to missionaries before and he really liked it because we're just normal people :) Woohoo! :D

Saturday 24th:
That morning we had a lesson fall through but got filled up like it was meant to be! We got to meet Elijah who found us through our ami Robert. He wants to learn English and so we let him know about how we do it and what not. At one point he asked us how much it was going to cost and so we got to tell him it was free. Man I love seeing people's faces when we tell them that :) He also said this which I loved! - "God doesn't send angels, he sends men." Woo! :D Being an answer to prayers for people!
Had another lesson with Phil and he told us that he stopped smoking and was tabacoo free for 2 days! We didn't even tell him to do anything! He shared with us that at one point he really wanted to smoke but instead, he opened up the Book of Mormon and the craving went away! He's awesome!
After that was another lesson with Mara. She was super prepared by doing all the reading we asked her to do. We talked about obedience and also prayer and scripture study which she is doing all of so the committment was super easy haha! :D
That night we were able to visit Elle which was great :) In our little lesson she practically bore her testimony of how much she has been blessed since the missionaries first came to her door. I really hope we can help her rekindle her desire to be baptized soon because she is so ready!!
Sunday 25th:
I hit 7 months and didn't even realize it until the day after! Sadly we didn't have any amis at church but Phil was there in his new dress shirt and tie that we got him! :D Then we also had a man named David Beausoleil who referred himself through the Cegep (the school where they have church) to us! We had a lesson with him after church which was good. He has had some pretty unbelievable experiences but our biggest obstacle with him is that he believes that he already knows that the Book of Mormon isn't true. He's going to pray about it and hopefully we hear from him again!
We really struggled that afternoon to get stuff set up for that night. We made some good pass bys making daily contact with investigators but then we ran out and were trying to figure out what to do. So we went to see Charles. We gave him a Book of Mormon the night before and invited him to church but he wasn't able to come. We knocked on his door and he opened it and immediately said "come in come in!" So we hurried in and he grabbed some chairs for us and we sat down. He told us he liked what he had read in the Restoration pamphlet and so we began a lesson! It went beautifully! We found out that he has been searching religions for years! We taught him the whole Restoration and at the end, since we have a vision to baptize, we invited him. He whole heartedly without a second thought said yes! He even understands that it's a new life and wants to do it even though he's already been baptized before! (common problems we run into here.) Then through inspiration we invited him to be baptized on the 21st of February and he accepted whole heartedly again! :D AHHH!!! Best end to a week ever!!! So yeah :) Life has been great :) He said that this Mormon thing interests him a lot :) We're quite happy to be able to help out someone as ready as him :)
Monday 26th: So tonight we're doing FHE with Sabine and some others. We decided to make it fun that we are going to act out the Good Samaritan... with props and costumes. So I'll be sending some pictures of sneak peaks for that :) Hopefully a video might follow too :)
