This week something that we shared a lot was the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is the center of everything that we teach about. The Restoration explains how it was brought back. The Plan of Salvation tells us why we need to do it. Then all the commandments help us know how to continue following the Savior. Pretty crazy how that all works! The Gospel of Jesus Christ - Faith in Christ, Repentance, Baptism, Gift of the Holy Ghost, and Enduring to the End - is what helps us to return to live with our Heavenly Father. This is the message I get bring to people everyday! True joy is found in the Gospel and so I encourage you all to work a little more this week to better understand it and apply it in your life :)
Monday 23rd:
After our P-Day we made ourselves a large pita pizza and even a dessert pizza which were so good! It brought back a lot of memories from home when we would have little personal pita pizzas :)

Then that night with the Lévesques we had FHE with Edwina. We taught her the Restoration and watched the film with her. She asked questions during it to help her understand and at the end she said that she believed it all and that she felt something in her heart that she hadn't felt too much before. How's that for the Spirit taking it to the hearts of men!

Then after that we literally ran home through the snow because the Gasniers (a less-active couple who lives in our building) called us saying they had questions. When we got there they asked to say a prayer and then asked us what they have to do to come back to church. I was blown away because I thought they were someone that would never come back! They even talked about wanting to pay tithing which was so cool! What's better is that we got to tell them that they didn't have to do anything haha! Just come to church! Then we'll talk about what blessings they can get :)
Tuesday 24th:
We got to teach Monique more commandments of reviewing the 10 commandments with her and clarifying some. She believes so strongly in keeping the Sabbath day holy. She hasn't wanted to work on Sunday for a long time and now she's really making it happen so she doesn't have to which is so cool! Sadly though we also talked about the Law of Chastity and she said that it doesn't apply these days, that it's old fashioned. It was sad for me to hear that because there is so much joy in it! But we gave her some homework to study and pray it out to get her answer. That night we got to teach Edwina again, this time the Plan of Salvation! She loved it! It answers so many questions and really helps us to have hope for after this life :)
Wednesday 25th:
Can't believe that 8 months have already gone by in the blink of an eye! But in my personal study, especially in studying the Old Testament, I am so grateful for the Bible Dictionary! It is so nice to be able to turn to a subject and have it give me more than I thought I could get! There are explanations for every book in the Bible which is sooo useful!
That afternoon we took a walk with Oscar and it was super nice outside, only -2! It was funny though because an hour or two later it was snowing hard and super windy. God is watching out for our plans! :D We had a good lesson with Gustave too. We weaved the Plan of Salvation into the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We really stressed baptism again because it is so important for everyone but right now he says he feels to young to decide but not closed off. Step by step with him! That night all our plans fell through but it was supposed to because we had to go visit Karissa and finally meet her husband Ernest who is super interested in the church! Inspired!! Hopefully we can get some miracles happening now that we finally have both of them together!
Thursday 26th:
We were up in Drummondville (about an hour north of Granby) practically all day for Zone Conference with all of the Longueuil Stake missionaries (two zones). I love zone conferences so much!!!

President Patrick taught powerful doctrine behind the Doctrine of Christ and the gospel. Like I said at the beginning, everything ties back to the Gospel. Then for the second half, we had President Pirlet, our stake president, talking to us about how we are now Reactivation Specialists for our units. We're really pushing right now to work more with members and I am so excited to see how it is going to affect the work. Then both presidents talked to us about Ward Council. President Patrick told us that he wasn't teaching us about it all because we need to know about it all right now but because in the future we will be the ward members in the council and we need to know how it's done.
President Patrick has such a great vision for us missionaries. He looks ahead to our futures as not just bishops, relief society presidents, or even apostles, but as future gods and goddesses. Powerful doctrine! When we got back we visited with the Gasniers again teaching them about the Gospel of Christ. They shared how much they love tithing and the thought of giving money and then receiving blessings. Too cool :)

Something that President really talks about a lot is Justification vs Sanctification or the Lower Law vs the Higher Law. I love it because it's deep doctrine with so much power behind it. The lower law is all about doing good things but the higher law is all about BECOMING. Our goal should be to become like Christ and that comes through the Sanctification of the Holy Ghost and temple ordinances. If you're curious go to D&C 84:26-28 to read a little bit into this :)
That afternoon we had miracle times! First of all, our ami Damond who we thought was dying of a disease called us asking us to come over! Then we passed by a potential and who should be coming out of the same building but Roselyn and Cheri who we lost two months ago! We had their approximate address before but they were actually in the building next door in the basement! Miracle!! That evening though we had an interesting call with Edwina. It was Jynx straight out of the District (the series of shows about missionaries). Edwina said that she had cut all contact with the world and prayer for three days and received her answer that Mormon wasn't for her. We were devastated but asked if we could see her one last time which she accepted. But to finish out the night I got to experience some of those scriptures that say that through the Spirit I will not confounded before men and it shall be to the confounding of the wise. Yeah it's pretty cool to actually see that happen :)
Saturday 28th:
In the morning we were up in St Jean for a ward mission meeting getting members on the same page as us. Super cool! Then that afternoon we went to the Wallaces and taught about repentance and baptism mostly. We used an object lesson with a plate of water representing us and cilantro floating on the water representing sin. Then add just one drop of dish soap to the middle. Try it out to see what happens :) But we used that to demonstrate the power of repentance and baptism through Christ :) They loved it!
Then we got to go teach Cheri and Roselyn again the Plan of Salvation. They had some friends there too which was great! Hopefully we'll be teaching them soon! As we left her building walking to our car there were 3 people placed in our paths one right after another which was so cool! Around dinner we went out to the Fremonts and got their Family Mission Plan in place :) They also shared their experiences sharing the gospel. It is such a joy to hear members doing work! :D
That night we went to see Edwina. A lot of prayer went into it. She started out by saying that she didn't like how we didn't pray to the Virgin Mary. We explained that a little then directed things more to the Book of Mormon. Turns out she had some things to share with us! During her three days of praying, she read in the Bible something about the Plan of Salvation and even about the Gold Plates! She received answers!! We were blown away! Then point blank I asked her if she believed the Book of Mormon to be true and that Joseph Smith was a prophet and she answered yes to all of it!! Turns out we had just been going a little too fast with her and that she's still on the right track! By the end we arranged for her to come to church even with the Lévesques! Woohoo!
Sunday 1st of March: At church we had the Gasniers and Edwina which was so awesome! We had tons of awesome testimonies from all the members. I left so edified! After church we had the potluck and I loved seeing Frere Gasnier fellowshipping Edwina and answering her questions! So awesome! :D We got to teach Oscar about repentance later with our object lesson :)
But that night we had nothing work out so we hit the streets. Again people were placed in our path! At one point, a guy got off a bus to take a smoke, we started talking to him. We asked him questions and he asked some back even. By the end of our conversation he had a Book of Mormon and our number and got back on the bus. We're planting seeds! But a pretty cool experience :)
Oh.. I almost forgot... Transfer calls came... and I'm staying in Granby and so is Elder Noel :) We're both excited to keep working together and we're just going to keep working super hard!

Life is going great! Spring and Summer are just around the corner! It's currently snowing so we're a little way off still haha :)
